important information about volunteering
Volunteers help with set-up, check-in, assisting shoppers, returning items, keeping racks and tables organized, and the breakdown process.
You may work your four hours all at once or split between days.
If you sign up for Saturday breakdown, please be prepared for physical labor. The breakdown process involves sorting clothes, breaking down tables, bins, etc. There is quite a bit of bending, lifting, and walking. However, this is when we need the most help. Many people love working breakdown because it is never boring.
If you are a church member working for a Mission, you must sign in and out each day in the appropriate binder.
If you plan to shop during the Worker Sale on Tuesday night, please do not sign up to work during that time.
Volunteers are not allowed to bring children with them while they work. Please respect this rule. We do allow 6th grade and up to work.
As a worker, you will be allowed to shop during our Worker Sale on Tuesday night. Only the person working will be allowed in this night.
ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN (INCLUDING THOSE IN STROLLERS, INFANT CARRIERS, OR SLINGS) WILL BE ALLOWED DURING THE WORKER SALE. PLEASE ARRANGE FOR CHILDCARE.
